Imagine Museum's 5th Anniversary Fire & Light Celebration

Whether you frequently socialize with world-renowned artists or you can only dream of doing so, Imagine Museum’s 5th Anniversary Fire & Light Celebration was a night to remember. Here at Imagine, we are all very knowledgeable about the artists we represent and their pieces in our collection, but it’s not every day that we brush shoulders and share life experiences with them. With over 30 International glass artists in attendance, to say we were all star-struck is an understatement.

Meet Vladimira Klumpar – Membership Exclusive

At 5:30 pm, members gathered in our theater room to listen to renowned Czech Glass Artist Vladimira Klumpar speak. Klumpar, clad in a chic European minimalist dress, mesmerized members with tales of her childhood and young adult life. Accompanied by her son, Matyas Pavlik, the duo left members in awe as they delved into their unique and collaborative studio practice.

The museum’s grand hall buzzed with laughs, chatter, anticipation, and gorgeous contemporary glass art. By 6 PM, our doors opened to the general audience, and visitors turned up in droves. After making their way through the doors of our iconic blue building, guests were greeted with a champagne punch, hors d’oeuvres, and a live saxophonist.

2023 Artist of the Future Awards

As guests and Artists began to mingle, the magical tone of the evening began to unfold.  By 7 pm, the Museum’s Founder, Ms. Trish Duggan, took center stage and eloquently presented Imagine Museum’s 2023 Artist of the Future awards to artists Vladimira Klumpar and Wilfried Grootens. Both artists were stunned and grateful, expressing their admiration for Imagine Museum’s advocacy of glass artists near and far.

For the rest of the evening, guests and artists socialized and enjoyed access to the Museum’s collections. Overheard by our marketing team, Wilfried Grootens (one of our 2023 Artist of the Future title holders) stated, “I have shown work all over the world, and Imagine Museum has the best collection of glass art I have ever seen”! To sum up the evening in a few words, Imagine Museum’s 5th Anniversary Fire & Light celebration exceeded all expectations. We cannot wait to see what this 5th year holds for us and all of the Artists we represent. Until next time!
