Imagine Museum welcomes new Executive Director, David Flatt

INTRODUCING DAVID FLATT AS OUR NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AT IMAGINE MUSEUM!

Imagine Museum is proud to announce that David Flatt has joined our team as the new Executive Director. David brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our museum, with a strong background in history, archaeology, and museum leadership.

David’s passion for history and archaeology began at a young age, growing up on a family farm in Illinois. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in history and anthropology from Southern Illinois University, a Master’s in history from St. Louis University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in anthropology from Flinders University in Australia.

With a rich career in archaeology, David has worked on projects in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He has previously served as the Executive Director at the Kregel Windmill Factory Museum in Nebraska, where he founded the “Power of Wind” art show featuring artists from over 30 countries. He also served as the Executive Director of the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant Museum in Detroit, Michigan, the birthplace of the Ford Model T, where he successfully transformed it into the #1 ranked destination event venue in Michigan.

In 2022, David was the Executive Director of the California Automobile Museum in Sacramento, where he set a record for attendance and organized the largest Cruise Fest in the city’s history. As a ceramic specialist in archaeology, David deeply appreciates the arts. He has been involved in building art shows, art fairs, and art exhibitions at non-art museums.

David’s diverse background and extensive experience make him the perfect fit for Imagine Museum, an internationally renowned museum dedicated to contemporary glass art. We are confident that David’s leadership will take our museum to new heights and promote the art and artists of contemporary glass art on a global scale.

Please join us in welcoming David Flatt to Imagine Museum as our new Executive Director. We are excited to embark on this new chapter with him and look forward to a bright future!
