1Imagine Museum: It’s Christmas in July for Pinellas County residents, because they can see the beautiful glass art in the Imagine Museum for just $5 all month long. Admission is normally $15. For all other guests, you can get $5 admission after 5 p.m. on Thursdays. The 35,000-square-foot museum was opened in January 2018 by Trish Duggan, a longtime artist and enthusiastic collector of American glass art. Studio glass is a fairly recent movement in the scope of glass art. The museum guides you through the history of the movement in America, showcasing developments in work from the genre’s superstars. 1901 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.

2Mall partiesThe Westfield chain of shopping malls has some free parties for kids this weekend. Westfield Brandon at 303 Brandon Town Center Drive is having a Happy Camper bash from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday with a variety of hands-on activities, including face painting, camp arts and crafts, photo ops and balloon twisting, and the first 200 kids with receive “an exciting camping necessity.” And the mall at Westfield Citrus Park will turn its main court into a Summer Carnival on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.; the first 200 kids in line in front of Macy’s will get a free carnival treat box. The celebration will include classic carnival games, cotton candy, a balloon twister, face painting and more. It’s all free at the mall at 8021 Citrus Park Town Center Blvd.ADVERTISEMENT

3. Scream: This week’s entry in the summer movie series at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre includes the horror classic Scream and also a trivia competition before the screening. The trivia contest begins at 6 p.m. Friday, and there will be prizes, including tickets for upcoming shows. The movie starts at 7 and tickets are $5, $9 with unlimited soda and popcorn. 405 Cleveland St., Clearwater. (727) 791-7400.

4Moon landing talk: Next week will be filled with nostalgic looks at the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, which took place on July 20, 1969, and a free talk Tuesday will get you ready for liftoff. The St. Petersburg Main Public Library is bringing in Kathleen Blackett, whose title is NASA Solar System Ambassador. She’ll discuss the early days of NASA, the Apollo missions and the politics involved. Free. 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. 3745 Ninth Ave. N, St. Petersburg. (727) 893-7724.

5. Cinema on the Sand: This free movie series at Upham Beach invites beachgoers to float while watching a movie projected on a screen on a floating boat, or bring a blanket and watch from the sand. Considering that Friday’s movie will be The Meg, the 2018 science fiction flick about a colossal 75-foot-long prehistoric shark, the sand may be a more comfortable place to be. Free. 8 p.m. Friday at Gulf Boulevard and 68th Street in St. Pete Beach.
